Houston Email Notifications
Welcome to the 45Drives Houston Alerts OAuth service. This page supports Google OAuth setup for the standalone 45Drives Alerts module in Houston UI.
Houston Alerts can use Google OAuth to send alert notification emails from a Gmail account you authorize. OAuth tokens are returned to your Houston UI instance and used only for sending configured alert notifications.
How it works:
- Navigate to your Houston UI instance.
- Open the 45Drives Alerts module.
- Select Email Setup, then Email Settings.
- From the Email Provider dropdown, select either Google (OAuth) or SMTP.
- If you select Google (OAuth), click Authenticate with Google.
- Google will display an OAuth consent screen for the Gmail account you choose.
- After you grant consent, Houston Alerts receives authorization to send notification emails from that account.
- The OAuth token data is returned to your Houston UI instance and stored on your server for alert delivery.
- Once authentication completes, return to Houston UI and click Save to finish setup.
- Going forward, configured alert events can send email notifications automatically.
- The token can be refreshed as needed to maintain notification delivery.
- If you choose SMTP instead, you will be prompted to enter SMTP server details instead of using OAuth authentication.
